better? hardly, none of the games you mention match up to it, in varieties of ways. Elyon is basically a moba clicker, bdo is derivative pvp and nothing else to do, and isn't neverwinter tabtarget?
Merry Christmas, everyone
A lot more populated: https://moongourd.com/eu/
Surely, gameforge must be horrible, not posting minimum requirements for the game anywhere :eyes:
One thing they all share is the predatory cash shop systems, though TERA is probably the #1 in terms of predatory cash shop systems.
3 tiers of subscription where the most expensive one (35USD iirc) gives you the same benefits as the old subscription did at 15USD..
Now they wonder why so few people are still playing..
Well, if a developer and publisher take a giant dump on their community by introducing elements they don't want (Time gating and more restrictions), then tell them to spend more money on top of the already extremely overpriced subscription, for a battle pass that you have to PAY to level up if you want to max it out before they release the next battle pass, which they do rather fast.. Yeah, no wonder people get fed up.
The game is now a literal online loot box casino designed for the big spenders. It's down on it's legs, and they're milking us dry until only a handful of players are left to support the game, which won't be too far off if the current player numbers are any indication.
The Xbox version is in the same situation as well. It was fine up till they screwed the community over with the additional dungeon restrictions, new 3 tiered subscription model and battle pass. That's when people started leaving en masse. (Pun intended)..
thx for the help dumbass
Good luck out there.
Honestly, new gear in this game means all the effort you put into upgrading your current gear has been a waste of time, and for some, a ton of money. Real money, unless you subscribe to the most expensive subscription tier, which when you look at the benefits from the old subscription model is also a waste of money as you had the same benefits then for 12,99EURO as you do now for 35EURO a month as well as paying for a battle pass.
It's a re-hash of every other previous patch where they introduce new gear.
Progression in this game has gotten worse with every new major update after they introduced the new upgrade system.
They need to fire some highly incompetent people who thought introducing a multi tiered subscription model was a good idea which is basically a scam when looking at the old sub and benefits, along with adding in a battle pass.
They are literally milking this game and right now, it doesn't have a lot left to be milked.. There are other, better options in the MMORPG market (New World's combat system is frankly on-par or better as well and without any loot box casino features) and more coming this year. When these better MMORPG options are getting their expansions/additional content updates and the new titles release, there won't be enough players left in this game to sustain its operations.
GameForge knows this. Bluehole knows this, yet they keep all the features that makes people turn away from it. As i said, they need to fire those incompetent fools who keep ruining the game, deterring players rather than attracting more players. They need to remove all the features that deter players aka the multi tiered subscription and battle pass and time gating. Those are features that would naturally ruin any MMORPG, and other games having tried the same or different variations of said features have failed in the past.
I used to love this game before GameForge took over and they introduced the new multi tiered subscription and battle pass along with the time gating features and spent thousands of hours between the Xbox and PC. After they introduced all that nonsense, it just wasn't worth playing anymore.
I know some people foam at the mouth wanting nothing more than Tera to die, but seeing as its /still/ the best combat mmo out there, alot of people would hate to see it go, and so, they support it with their dollars.
If you want to help change things for the better, use that energy to send support some feedback on their site, or use the gameforge forums, cause sadly, the only people reading these threads are the babysitters and us, I would not expect a GF dev has ever seen anything from here, or cared if they did.
