Why can't game companies ever test their own launchers with Wine? Oh they think everyone runs games in Windows, huh...
The Steam Deck is a PC that looks like a portable console running Steam OS, meaning, NOT Windows but (Arch) Linux. Only issue may be having an AMD gpu, Wine is traditionally better with NVIDIA, and Proton if just another fork of Wine. This game has worked fine for YEARS with Wine, its just their stupid badly made launchers. Thankfully not an issue with Steam.
