While waiting, you could switch to logging in normally, without Steam, and play your old account. You gotta either download the whole game again from the website, or follow my instructions in the thread below in order to save yourself 45 GB of downloading and patching.
Is there any way to play Tera with a Non-Steam Account?
As explained in step 2, you can skip step 4 if you use up-to-date launcher files. Here's the latest copy of my files I uploaded 10 days ago:
Sun's TERA normal launcher files 09.06.2018.7z[mega.nz]
Feel free to ask Support how to switch from Steam to normal launcher btw. I'm curious whether they'll tell you you must download the full 45 GB again instead of 43 MB I just gave you a link to.
Good luck! o/
I just hope my En Masse account will work, as I noticed during the loading process, it didn't have En Masses logos and used GameForge in it.
At the time, many many years ago, En Masse was the better choice of TERA provider, so i went with them, despite being in Europe.
This is the European TERA. Your EnMasse account won't work here. You'll need to download their version or start over on EU. Since you're from the UK, you're seeing the EU version on Steam.
As for who's the better publisher - that's debatable. NA are now even using Xigncode3 which is said to be a malicious tool that reads all of your PC data and even transmits it. You've probably heard of their witch hunt too - they would ban people using even a DPS metre. Insane, really.
The reason for going with En Masse was more populated servers, at least at the time (more than 4-5 years ago now).
There is a way to get TERA NA working via Steam but it's largely not worth it for you to being active there where your ping is also expected to be higher. In any case, you'll need to redownload their version, plus you'll be forced to let Xigncode3 take over your computer and work even when you're not playing the game.
See here for reference on getting it via Steam:
Tera Steam version should be NA servers
Good luck! o/
Think I might have got it resolved, will have to wait until its installed to find out!

I shouldn't be laughing but... :D You better be male, mid-twenties at most, fit, cute and preferably gay... ^_^
Anyhow, glad you might have got it resolved. Did any of the info above help or you just got divine inspiration?
Yes. The trick with steam://install/[appid] did indeed install the NA version of TERA without any IP or country checks. So i'm back in business there. although I'll never know if the old 'NA servers have more people' is still true now.
Good to hear. o/
Tbh, I wouldn't even care if I were you. They don't release this information, so it's about person impression vs actual data in the end of the day. I'm happy I'm not forced to use Xigncode3 and LFG is healthy-ish on Mystel. That's enough for me. In fact, we got a new guild member last week who came from NA after the introduction of the above mentioned malicious tool. Btw did you have to install it?
Apart from the higher ping, I'd imagine you wouldn't be seeing that many players from Europe over there. This for me is an even bigger boner killer than the increased ping. Up to you though.
N-joy!
Also, no Xigncode3
I'm sorry if my being late 20 makes me unattractive :P
As for ping - it may not be too noticeable in PvE but it should be in PvP. Then again, it depends on your connection, and I know for a fact speeds in England suck. Or used to anyway. I lived there for 5 years until Jan 2014 and TalkTalk were providing a really poor service. So did other operators except Virgin but one had to pay in excess of 35 quid if they wanted a normal-ish connection. That's largely unacceptable. Anyhu...
Regarding Xigncode3 - I've no idea what's the situation with it. Is it possible you just haven't noticed you'd got it with the game installation?
Btw, you top or bottom?
Anyhow, regarding Xigncode3. Could you check something for me please?
Go to C:\Windows\ and see if you have a file called xhunter1.sys. If you do, then you've got that crap tool. A mate told me it get automatically installed on your computer after you download the game (including via Steam) and press PLAY for the first time. After that it takes over your registry in a few days (it needs about 2 weeks, no idea why), then it starts sending data. Or that's what its code suggests - anything that's not a system file. So it's believed to upload your personal data, including photos etc, especially noticeable in your data usage after the first week of infection.
I've checked C:\Windows, and there is nothing called that, or even any file starting with an 'x'. I launched TERA, both the client and the actual game, a few times to see if the file spawned, but it isn't there. I've searched the entire Windows directory, it isn't in a different place, seems to be an uninfected system.
Hope you make heads and tails of this. He logged out before I saw that, so couldn't ask for clarification on the random thingy. haha
