I stopped playing, not because of the quality of the game, but because my group fell off. We tried Elyon, and ended up disliking it because it simply doesn't compare to Tera, and is not a product we want from BlueHole. Considering how hard the population of Elyon fell off, I imagine many people feel the same. That said, the talk of Tera shutting down has re-ignited my interest in the game purely out of nostalgia, and I can promise you I am far more likely to support Tera, even if no updates occur, than Elyon.
I suspect there's more to the story than they are willing to admit. Simply maintaining a server doesn't require much infrastructure. If it did, then private servers would be impossible to maintain. But if I had to guess, BlueHole is looking to cut overhead by abandoning Tera because of Elyon's failure. Either that, or this is a move in an attempt to draw more attention to Elyon, newest product, rather than admitting it's a failure and maintaining Tera.
Please keep in mind that they only offer support in Korean.
of course they can no longer substance server even if they only have skeleton crew on it.
if you wanna complain do it at your locale government that thinking that green energy is sustainable energy
PS, devs you can open source the exe so people can play the game solo it's a favor for people being so loyal for so long.
I sent them a message and I used google translate to convert it to Korean. Hopefully it's readable enough and I hope they see the email.
