Is Crafting worth it?

I have looked a bit into the Crafting Recipes of the 4 Crafting Professions, and as far as i can see, there are only very few recipes for each profession, and almost all of them dont seem really worth the effort or money, so my question is, did i overlooked something or is crafting really not worth it?

depending on how far you are in the game it is worth it, weapon and armourcrafting is required later to get the best gear, while etching is usefull for getting bonus stats on your gear without spending 30k for a etching

only alchemy isnt worth it because they took out all the potions, so only runes for low grade gearcrafting and battle solutions can be made, which are very cheap

ok thx for the answer ^^ and are hides only obtainable through buying them from the vendors or are they still lootable? the tera wiki seems to be outdated about that

they are only buyable but these items are only used in low crafting tiers, rush to 500 crafting and choose what you want to artisan afterward, you can only choose 1 crafting section for artisan (higher end crafting tier)

ok thx ^^ it seems like that it gets a trend to most MMORPGs to reduce crafting from interesting varity to simplicity

Bit late to comment on but apparently Tera has now removed the crafting items below lvl 65 characters.

what Variouss was 100% right before but now you can make alot of gold with Alchemy and you wont lose alot of gold while mastering (800) the Alchemy .
