If you increase only text size but not the overall UI, text will simply go out of quest etc pop-up windows. Which is why I think it's not applicable. A screenshot would've helped.
You should consider increasing your UI to 100%, then downscaling individual elements that seem too bulky. You can resize the chat font to your liking, as well as the chat window itself. Text is just fine on a standard size monitor - 19+ inches.
My Scale all UI setting is set to 70 with only HP/MP bars increased to 130, Effect icons to 120 and Crosshairs decreased to 80. 23-inch monitor - not too big, not too small. I even play in windowed mode, because I alt/tab all the time, and there's no delay when you're in windowed (full-screen or custom size) mode.
Regarding your mini-map - there's an option to lock its position. Once you've placed it where you want it to be, go to Options - UI Settings - UI Customization - [check] Lock mini-map location. Make sure the S1Option.ini file is not read-only. Once you've set your options, make that file read-only (and create a copy just in case) to prevent the launcher from replacing it. If you can't see the mini-map anymore, you need to click the Reset UI position button to move it back into its original place. Make sure you haven't set its transparency to 0% btw.
Have fun! o/
I was made aware of another solution, if anyone's interested. Haven't tested it yet but from what I've seen it should basically deal with the issue.
No I can't get my UI and larger or I'll get the screen cluttered too much. I tried it and couldn't get an adequet setting. Yes I have a 15' leptop. Will never buy a leptop again :).
Any other soultions would be much appreciated.
Thanks for the reply's Sunflare!
About your laptop - I guess you bought it for convenience, not for gaming. ^_^
Regarding the minimap - glad you fixed that.
Regarding the text size problem - I still believe my suggestion - to increase overall UI size while decreasing individual UI elements' size, combined with an increased field of view* - should produce the best results. However, there's an alternative but it's nothing close to customising the font - you just replace the default one (EUR) with a somewhat more readable one (INT). This is the end result: click here[imgur.com] for a comparison.

That's exactly what I needed. Genious, I used the INT one, and it's now acceptable! Great! Thank you so much!
I didn't wanna go into too much detail here how it's done because it's not exactly allowed fiddling with client files. Just wanted to give you enough hints to google it, as it's probably written somewhere already.
Now, there's another minor thing one could do if they are using default settings (not an already tweaked engine file):
1. Head to your game folder - \TERA\Client\S1Game\Config\;
2. Open S1Engine.ini with any text editor;
3. Go to line 30 or search (Ctrl+F) for "TinyFontName";
4. Now edit the values of "TinyFontName", "SmallFontName", "MediumFontName", "LargeFontName" and "SubtitleFontName" to "EngineFonts.LargeFont" for all of them. It should look like this:[i.imgur.com]
6. Right click on it -> Properties -> check "Read-Only"[i.imgur.com] -> Apply. This is done to make sure the game client doesn't overwrite the file later.
Ideally, you'd do this in conjunction with the font substitution I mentioned above.
This isn't my idea though but I wouldn't mind taking the credit for it as long as you're happy with the final result.
Enjoy!
