What happens when I use a Collectores edition Key?

I started playing today and got to lvl 20 with one character. it took me 4 h because I´m the type of player thats reads the quest texts and stuff.
But after 4h I realy like this game and I wondered about all the videos I watched befor where the players had more then two character slots. After some Googling i found out it is maxed on new accounts to max 2 slots and that you can buy new slots with money/ingame money.
But I also saw people talking about using a key from a CD-Box thing (I hope u know what I mean) to get Founders status on their accounts and with that 8 character slots.
I went on Googling again to look if there are any codes for Tera and I found that there are Collecters edition Keys avaiable.
Now the Question: can I get more Character slots and/or Founders status on my account when I activate that collectors edition key?

Veteran or standard edition ?[board.tera.gameforge.com]

There are two types of keys - for Standard Edition and for Collector's Edition. By using either of these your free account becomes veteran.

The benefits are almost the same:

• 8 character slots overall
  
• 4 bank pages overall
  
• 30 brokarage listing slots
  
• account-wide mount (255 movement speed horse for Standard and 280 ms white lion for Collector's)
  
• other account-wide items (low level jewellery for Standard and a variety of other similar items for Collector's)
  
• 37 days of TERA Club as a test period

This said, people choose Collector's over Standard Edition purely because of the faster and much nicer looking mount. Hence the higher price of about €5. It's a 1-off perchase though but the benefits are permanent (except the 1 month premium trial obviously).

Yes it works but Gameforge has some problems to deal with: I and my boyfriend bought 2 key, same process of registration obviusly because both of us playing tera in Steam, and he actually have the effects of the Key in game, but... I'm not able to link the account of steam to gameforge.
It seems that i actually linked them, but dunno why the key is only binded to the ''gamegforge's account'' (and doesn't link correctly with steam). Gameforge's assistance sucks. they didn't gave me any help nor any kind of assistance.
