- Switch to an empty chat tab (get into the options of that particular tab or make a new one and deselect every chat channel/notification), so it disappears after a while of inactivity (no new messages and no hovering over it with your mouse);
- Scale down your whole user interface from the in-game options (Options - UI Settings - UI Scaling - Scale all UI - choose 50) and increase only the size of custom combat elements such as your HP bar, compass, buffs bar, skill bar and extra tray bar;
- Remove the chat function completely. I don't recommend this option because you won't be able to see, nor use the chat at all. To do that, go to the S1UI folder inside your main Tera folder, e.g. F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Tera\Client\S1Game\CookedPC\Art_Data\Packages\S1UI\ and delete the S1UI_Chat2.gpk file.
Have fun! o/Unless you have an external tool to replace the in-game chat, you should use options 1. and 2. above instead.
