Launcher Termination Code 5 Error

when I try to launch the game it says that direct x is not installed or is corrupted but is the only game that says me that and i have tryed to reinstall it and nothing changes

How often do you get this error? It's a bogus message and a lot of people have had it. I've seen it a couple of times in the past few months too. I just ignored it.

always I try to enter the game, it closes automatically and I cant play

Have you tried updating your drivers with Driver Booster?[www.iobit.com]
What about your DirectX? I'm using version 11. Have you tried downgrading yours to 9? I'm not saying you should be using an older version but if it helps without any performance loss, then you should at least try.
Do you have only 1 videocard btw?

Have you written to Support? Do it ASAP, so they can reply before the weekend when they don't answer tickets.

i checked that and my drivers are ok, i hace tryed to reinstall directx 9 and it says that is not necessary because i have a newer vession.
i have only on video card (gtx 480)
and yes I just send a ticket

Well, when you roll back, you usually need to uninstall the newer version of the given software, then freshly install the older version without running into newer vs older version conflicts.

Isn't 480 a bit old now? Even mine is kinda old - GTX750Ti.
What do you mean you checked it? With that programme?

how do i uninstall directx 12 to put 9?
yes i checked with dricer booster
480 is old but as i dont have money to upgrade my pc and it is still doing her job I dont have any problem

Google suggests it's not that easy to get rid of DirectX, even impossible to downgrade. o_O
Somewhere people say DX12 supports previous versions too, so I wouldn't know what really is causing this retаrded error message. Let me know what Support tell you. They will probably give you some copy-pasted info without even reading your ticket but don't worry - just reply back and tell them again what you've tried so far.

Is getting another version of Windows an option for you? Personally, I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1 and have no problem with that.

Dont uninstall Direct 12 and download 9.

Try to open Tera as Administrator. ( The launcher too )
Change the compatibility to your Windows system.

Have you tried opening The Launcher and the game itself as Administrator?

I know this thread is a bit old but I've just installed the game and i'm getting this error I've tried reinstalling, restarting steam and changing the resolution and nothing works. A lot of people keep suggesting running the game as Admin but i don't have that option. I right click on Tera and there's no option for Admin.

Edit: I found the option to run steam as Admin but this time i just get a black screen for about 20 seconds then i just get the error again.

In my experience, running the game as admin accomplishes nothing. There are even people who recommend to not run any applications as admin unless it's in a safe environment.
