Welcome to TERA! \o/
You will be getting healing spells later on. As priest, you will have 6 skills you'll be using in probably every boss fight for both healing others and yourself - Focus Heal (lock-on skill; heals up to 4 people excluding yourself), Healing Circle (heals up to 5 ppl within about 7 m in front of you excluding yourself), Restorative Burst (shares cd with Healing Circle; thrown 10 m in front of you; applies healing over time to whoever steps on it, including yourself), Healing Immersion (your best AoE healing spell - lets you move while casting; heals up to 5 people in a 7-8 m radius, including yourself), Heal Thyself (heals only yourself) and Kaia's Shield (absorbs up to 40k damage and also has a glyph for healing over time).
So, take it easy and just learn to play in party, i.e. focus on positioning and support. Healer's role is NOT primarily to heal but support the party. Healing comes naturally. The more you have to heal, the worse your party is. Don't put it on you if people die because they can't be bothered to avoid damage or you make a mistake - these things happen. Focus on improving your playing skills and getting more experience.
You don't have to keep sel-fheal on your right click. lol Feel free to move around your skills, making it more comfortable to reach them. Go to Options - Shortcuts to assign different keys to your skillbar, as well as extra tray if you need to.
Have fun! o/
