That, or fork up real money to top up with TERA thalers and buy a pet from the cash shop.
Might get one from subscribing to the TERA club as well if memory serves me right.
Looting is 'troublesome'?
You press 'F' and you can hold F to loot everything. That's more than what 80% of mmorpgs out there offer. Most mmorpgs will have you loot corpses to gain items manually. I call lazy.
My main is lv61 and i don't have a pet either. I don't see the point.
Each to their own, of course. But i still call lazy on this one. :)
One gets a 7-day looting pet from BuddyUp but this can happen only once per account per qualifying period. More about BuddyUp can be found here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=880007498
Other than that and as already mentioned, broker with gold or the cash shop (direct pet purchase or purchasing a pet box for a random pet). Over time, one obtains and uses hundreds of thousands (even millions) of gold, so collecting, say, 15-20k for a looting pet is not a big deal. Having a looting pet isn't essential anyway.
