poor framerate
I've very poor framerate. 22 in character selection screen and less than 15 after starting the game. game only uses less than 30% of GPU power, wtf. I loaded geforce experience optimized settings and still runs like crap.
GPU: GTX 1070
CPU i5-6600

Ping has nothing to do FPS. One could lag like mad and still have great graphics.

I'm not much into the technical stuff but you should play a bit with anti-aliasing and vsync settings. There's also a setting to 'unlock' your framerate. Don't expect panaceas though. See how to change your FoV and disable mouse smoothing here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByKQIMYqcJo You can and should do other things like changing bSmoothFrameRate to FALSE in the S1Engine.ini files and lowering shadows resolution. Google TERA optimization and try out stuff. Not everything is worth doing for that little bit of extra performance though.
There are also in-game options you could change - effects optimization and the likes.

Have fun! o/

check you settings and play a bit with it, i have lower specs but always have atleast 30 fps regardless how heavy the dungeon, and all my graphics are on max, using only 50%

it's the same even on lowest preset! enough, I'm giving up this stupid game. If I can't even play TERA -king of MMORPGs- without messing with ini files and ♥♥♥♥ knows what else then the whole genre is dead for me

These setting also helps:
S1Engine.ini
DisableATITextureFilterOptimizationChecks=True
UseMinimalNVIDIADriverShaderOptimization=False

turning off the UI with Ctrl+Z adds a lot to framerate. When I turned off the UI and turned camera to the ocean it hit 60 fps! The UI seems to be root of this $hIt. Anyway I'm done with this game for good. Uninstalled.

Seems FPS isn't the issue after all - it's your attitude. If you're an FPS slave, then TERA is not for you and you've done the right thing to uninstall it.

TERA is a beautiful and engaging game. You labelled it garbage at level 1. Like seriously? Not sure what these low quality screenshots were for but you haven't even enabled the in-game FPS counter. Your CPU and GPU and better than mine, yet it 'runs like crap' for you. I can do just about everything in the game without using the lowest settings, and I'm with GTX750Ti and i5-4440.

You don't need more than 60 FPS anyway. Judging a game by FPS and FPS alone is just laughable.

the hell? the screenshots I linked shows 15 FPS or less which is completely unplayable!

yeah he probably didnt see it in the left lower corner, anyways if u aim for 60+ fps u can try all you want, people barely reach 40 in dungeons, so 60 is a far reach, 15-30 is +/- average

I was on my phone at the time indeed. Didn't even see there was some blue text at the top left either. :-)

As I said, my specs are worse than yours. @Aomin
You can see my FPS at the bottom right corner where it appears if you activate it in-game. Obviously, this is while standing still and not in dungeon or Velika/Highwatch with a lot of NPCs and people around. And these are Steam screenshots, so quality is lower than normal.
