it allways confuses me that the small devs give free stuff and the rich ones make you pay rediculous prices for content they made before they even released the game

Why call it a DLC when its free, its just the same as an update, thats something I never really understood

@nicoper: DLC = DownLoad Content.. nothing in that says that it must be charged for. It is content that is downloaded, that is added to the game after the game has been released.

@nicoper: Because they are using it in the basest sense of the term: DownLoad Content. It has only been in the past seven years or so that that term has become synonymous with "paid extra content." Look at Deus Ex, or Lone Survivor, or any number of other games (triple A or not): they do free "DLC" as well. Whether devs wish for you to pay fo more content is at their discretion.
