Three Crew Names

What do you folks do for the three custom crew names? I've been using friends names, which is always funny watching them run around the ship like little ants. But then I hit upon three names that just seemed perfect: Moe, Larry, and Curly. The trouble was, I started to really care for the crew. I did get a couple of redshirts who I picked up in Sector 3 and who both died in Sector 4 in melee combat. The problem started when Larry died one jump after that in a solar flare fire during a fight with a nasty pirate ship. Larry got replaced my Lorthax, which just destroyed the team in my opinion: Moe, Lorthax, and Curly just does not cut it. At the beginning of Sector 5, Moe and Lorthax were lost in space due to Slug incursion. Curly was left all on his own, with nobody but two drones to talk to all the way to the very end of Sector 7, where he was mercifully snuffed by a Mantis cruiser.

So I am in the market for new crew names, three to a bunch. I was thinking of an all female crew this next run, but I'd like to hear what other people use for names. And I'd sure like it if the game remembered crew names from game to game, and allowed us to rename the crew we pick up.

Dave, Rimmer and either Kryton or Cat. Of course the ship is called Starbug :)

I named my three crew after my main Characters in an Original Fiction I was working on (Have to go back to them, Its been a year already) which were William, Fredrick and Charlie, and I named their Ship: Gaius, after Caesar. Suitably enough they defeated the Rebel Flagship at the end. Damn fine ship and crew.
