FTL for Android?
I would totally love to play FTL on my smart phone! :D.
I don't know the limitations like memory or requirements but i think an Xperia NEO V can handle it...

I was thinking 'TABLETS!' the first time I started the game. The gui is not suited for small screens (and fat fingers), but it might translate well to a 7 inch or bigger screen,

Agreed, it seems like it would work solely on touch input.

I think the NEO V screen is 7.3 inches or something like that xD

I am looking at geting a Nexus 7 tablet - the quad core tegra looks gaming friendly and I hope more of the beefier PC indie games will start appearing on android.

Just picked mine up this weekend, DMNL. Tegra 3 is very gaming friendly indeed. It's chewed through everything I've thrown at it thus far. Great little device, worth every penny.

I would certainly love to throw FTL at it (nudge nudge)...

also multitouch controls would make it easier to do some things

I own a Nexus 7 and I keep it mostly for professional/practical uses. But I would make an exception if FTL made an android release.

Pretty sure it's not happening, and if it did, probably wouldn't come out for Android, because Android users don't pay for apps, so there is no win for the dev's time effort.

Kind of like how PC gamers don't pay for PC games?

Wait, do you work for Ubisoft?

Your comment being made on a Steam forum disagrees with your assertion, unless you are saying everyone here is stealing games from Steam.

Steam has demonstrated better than anyone else that PC gamers *do* in fact pay for games.

And the Android users not paying for apps topic is a major conversation happening every day in the mobile development world.

Yeah, mama always told me tongue-in-cheek don't work too good on the internet. Just a little jab at your sweeping generalization up there, no offense meant. I've got hundreds of apps on my Android devices, all purchased by myself. Just for the record.

I do find it unfortunate that developers for any platform would ever choose to disregard a sizeable paying demographic because of all the asshats out there who would rather steal. I brought up Ubi as a prime example of a company that seems to care more about potential revenue lost to piracy than tangible revenue generated from sales.

Considering the low asking price for most mobile apps, I can definitely see how piracy could have a more profound effect on developers trying to earn a living off the platform, though. It's unfortunate. Sad, sad world we live in these days.

Well I know that I've bought far more off the Google play store than I've purchased for the computer. Pirate bay has all the best indies. But I would pay at least 6-7$ for FTL on android.

I have an Xperia Neo V, it has a 4 inch screen. Did you mean the Nexus 7 by any chance?

heh, it's backwards (3.7) xD
i would pay the full amount again just to get it on android...
100 hours+ when tethered to a computer, i reckon i can double that on a mobile device.
and i already feel like i got my moneys worth. just saying
