Check that your O2 still has power, on occasion it will get rerouted (usually after going through an ion nebula!)

You may have rerouted the power when the system when down, probably because of an ion storm or some slug attacks. After these events always check if the system has power (isn't grey)

pretty much what those guys said. Also if you use a ship without sensors (like the secondary layout for the engi bomber or the slug ship) fire can go unnoticed and use up more oxygen than you can produce.

I have had this happen too. O2 powered, no breaches and all doors closed. I think it's just a bug.

There are some anomaly that makes block your O2, meaning you have to win the fight before you run out of O2 for everyone.
There are breaches in ship hull that result in loss of O2 for the room. If you open any room adjacent to it, they will lose O2 as well if your O2 generator is basic (can't generate as fast as losing O2). Fire also consume O2. If a room is red (O2 depleted) it will very slowly go back to normal depends on your O2 level, and depend on if you are opening the doors to adjacent rooms with plenty of O2 (sharing O2).

Oh ok it was because of the Nebula! It took power away from my O2 and I didn't notice. Thanks for the help :D

It is a hull breach.

This happened to me on my first couple runs of the game. Never happened again though. O2 was powered, no breaches, I opened and closed my doors multiple times but the O2 level jsut kept dropping :(

Happened to me on my first few runs. Couldn't find fire, full hull, all doors closed, and everything was good, but my oxygen just kept decreasing.

I believe its caused by having too many crew members, could be wrong

Um, you can't have "too many" crew members, the game limits you.

Also, OP already found his answer.

And why did you think now would be a good time to add on to the discussion?

OK, I figured it out. If you have a crew of the race 'translator', it will suck the oxygen out of the room.

As far as adding to the discussion, I came across this thread by looking for the answer. The answer is not in this thread, so I decided to post it.
