Tried creating a settings.ini file in the install directory and set fullscreen to 1 as detailed in this thread - https://getsatisfaction.com/ftlgame/topics/steam_launcher_does_not_launch_game
Can't go through some of the other suggestions at the moment, so I'll just try on my W7 gaming rig when I get home.
The issue i have is that it runs fine but i cant use the stylus in the game... just does not respond.
Also remember to disable DPI Scaling under compatibility when you go to the properties of the exe file.
Have ensured my Graphics driver is updated to the latest version, have disabled DPI scaling, have tried running as administrator...
Game just doesnt work!
"That's a video driver issue. These should be more up to date than your current ones and solve the problem:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22842&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%208%2C%2064-bit*&DownloadType=Drivers
As a warning, other Surface Pro users with the same problem have reported difficulties getting the new drivers to "stick". Windows 8 will secretly rollback to older ones. From their reports, just reinstalling the drivers a few times will convince Windows 8 keep them. Sounds strange, I know, but multiple people have resolve the issue like that! "
In my experience I have had to reinstall the driver about 4 times, but i certainly got FTL to run after each install, and now it seems to have stuck.
Hope ths helps other Surface Pro Users
