If you see the description it says "Cooldown between weapon shots is improved by 15 percent."

Does this includes the first shot?

it said cooldown BETWEEN weapon shots. I think it doesn't include the first shot

yes, its from the first shoot. It is just a 15percent cooldown reduction, just like leveling a crew memeber up.

Yea the first shot does apply to it. I wondered about that as well.

I never noticed but it is worded in a odd way isn't it

It affects all shot charges; first or not is irrelevant.

It reduces the weapon cooldown after the weapon discharges. It doesn't make weapons fire off their salvos faster; just more often.

Also note, you can stack Automated Re-loaders.

My absolute favorite ship in all my playthroughs? Two Automated Reloaders, a Weapon Pre-Igniter, fully trained weapons crew, and... two Burst III Lasers :D

They fired about every 11 seconds. No joke! I wish I took screenshots.

This is one of the reasons why I want a sandbox mode in FTL so you can actually try out some of these crazy combos that you'd never get if you played propperly like 4x Burst laser II that everyone dreams of.
