a workshop full of custom ship an sounds
Just think if they would add a second playthrough where you take a completely different path or another variatior of the game where you play on a particular star each level (and you choose which star to go to when you finish the level) and you have to explore the star. Would be briliant.
That being said, I wouldn't mind a cheat or easter egg or something where you can play as NPC ships. (The flagship would be particularly fun!)
I think what the game needs more than new weapons, new races and new ships, is some way to make interactions more engaging - rather than always just a multiple choice dialogue box, you should be given graphical options that involve tactical decisions (such as a map of a moon base through which you must guide your crew for example), or even something as simple as a portrait of the NPC you're currently in dialogue with. However, that feels more like something for a FTL2 than DLC.
i agree with some of the other posts, more gameplay text/options{one guys said there was a mod for that?} more weapons, maybe more ships, though that would take time, especially adding a whole new set of sectors, and events, the writing would be immense.
I would also rather have an official DLC pack, rather than going through countless lists of mods{okay not that many, but it would be nice since it would feel like an official part of the game} With some content from the devs themselves
or you could leave out the checkpoints and make the game even hearder{no seriously} it would cause people to be extra cautios, for the long journey ahead, but youd have to reduce scrap intake or something, because youd just max out your ship then. {add new ships, increase number of availible upgrades}
Raising the difficulty would cause even more "dis game suk, it 2 hard" threads though >_>
Personally i would love the spike in challenge, maybe adding new systems and such{like ship systems, not sectors or stars etc} would spike the learning curve just a bit, or a new hard mode for someone like me XD but the challenge there would be not to let the game cheat and reduce all the chances of the random events being positive, and throwing ships 3 times more powerful than you at you.
wow... I write a lot.
