FTL Title Screen Freeze

Hello, I've been playing FTL for quite a while now but for some reason I can't play the game. Every time I load it the loading screen reaches full then music starts to play but it stays on that exact screen, when I click on it it freezes and then I get the "FTLGame.exe has stopped working" message. Any ideas on how to fix this?
