But in case you do need help with that:

Simply reading the description will help a long way, if that isn't the case watch the vid for a while.
You need to farm sectors one and two heavily because you're pretty much invincible. You're really going to want shields by the time you hit sector three when two-shield ships start showing up. Unless you can disable their weapons on the first pass of the Glaive Beam, you're going to be in trouble.
That said, I think I prefer the Nesario to the DA-SR12. Asteroid fields can get pretty hairy early on, and the sensors help to avoid them. Maybe if you could shoot the Glaive beam forward and speed a path it wouldn't be so bad ;)
Learning the timings on enemy weapons can be very helfup for timing your cloaks perfectly - for example, you can cloak both a Heavy Laser and Basic Laser shot if you wait 1s after the HL fires and then cloak immediately after the BL fires. When facing early drones, wait until it's just about to fire and then cloak at that point; even with level 1 Cloak, you'll usually get your Mini-Beam off before you're hit more than once.
Don't be afraid to run away - you can't do it often or you'll get too behind in scrap, but your Engines charge fast starting at Level 4, and can help you get out of rough situations. On the other hand, don't be afraid - The Nesasio can actually handle ANY early game threat just fine, including Beam Drones, Asteroids, and Solar Flares. Just don't panic, do things carefully, and your powerful Dual+Mini combo will get you out safely.
For upgrades - nothing is mandatory. Feel free to get Level 2 Cloaking, buy key weapons (Ion Bomb), or save up for Shields. Sell your System Casing as soon as that 50 scrap is needed - usually for buying Shields, but could be sold earlier in some cases.
Now the DA-SR 12 is a bit of a different beast - it's one of the worst ships in the game. On top of that, it's also hard to use, but with careful play one can still be successful with it. Always prioritize Cloaking Level 3 with this ship ASAP - it's essential for surviving early threats, because you're much more fragile than The Nesasio is.
The big issue with the Stealth B is that it needs to buy everything and it needs it quickly - you need Cloaking 3, you need Shields, and you need another weapon. Put a high priority on finding something that can drop at least 1 Shield by the end of Sector 2; Ion Bomb is the best possible option, but most any 1-2 power weapon will do the trick.
When firing at Zoltan Shields, aim your beam so that the end of it is barely just entering a new room - you can get one hit off after taking down the shield.
The devs prefer it off and only added it due to overwhelming demand - they feel it adds more mistery and uncertainty which they want and thus it's off by default. I feel it adds more tedium and just involves me meticulously measuring between waypoitns (as I did before the option existed) :P I've met exactly 2 players that prefer it off; everyone else strongly prefer it on.

The Stealth B is a monstrosity, Glaive Beam is an absolutely terrifying weapon
