Mac OS X problems

Well I guess it goes without saying that Mac OS X is just about the worst thing a gamer could wish for. So without the incumbent Mac vs. PC flame war I'll ge to the point.

I installed FTL on my MacBook yesterday, played for 5 hours, and now it won't boot up again.

I've tried validating the files and it hasn't fixed the problem. I'm not sure how to uninstall it (hey! I'm a MAC! just delete the files except for the problematic ones...) and I have no idea about advanced troubleshooting re: console fixes.

Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have a solution? My system is more than capable of running it (I played it for 5 hours yesterday >.>). For the record, I guess it's prudent to say that I'm running Snow Leopard, OS X 10.6.8.
