[SOLVED] Resolution / Mouse problem
I have some problem with the mouse and the resolution: when put in fullscren, the mouse jumps and the cursor is almost never visible, making impossible to select anything.
When removed the full screen option, in windowed mode it is bigger than the screen, and it cuts the bottom part of the view.

So, is there a way to play this game in fullscreen ?

Edit: in fullscreen / native i can see only the top-left corner of the screen
in fullscreen / stretch i can see the top left corner of the screen
in fullscreen/ borders the view is correct buy the mouse doesn't work
in fullscreen / native the view is correct buy the mouse doesn't work

EDIT:
The solution was to access the local files by right clicking the game in steam > properties > browse local file,
and then right clicking of exectuable > properties
Compatibility tab > disable high dpi resizing (or something similar, don' know what the english label is).

EDIT 2 (07/Dec/17):
i copypaste here the answer from the dev for easier access:

windowed, manually set resolution in the .ini to be 2-3 pixels wider than your screen, then use autosizer (free program) to move the window into position so the top bar is above the visible screen. windowed fullscreen-ish :)

Hello, I am the developer of Boot Hill Heroes. I was having a similar problem with my game - some users who had the game set to full screen had the display larger than their monitor. A user pointed me to this method of correcting the full screen issue for some users. It seems to work, but I was wondering if the developers here found a way to implement this in the game code so users would not have to figure out how to do this. Thank you.

You're welcome, this procedure also solves resolution problems on many other games

DUUUUUUUUDE. SERIOUSLY. I was going ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It was also interfering with my Logitech Gaming Software so I couldn't map custom buttons to my mouse.

THANK YOU!

Also if anyone is having the problem where you cursor flashes across the screen, you can go into your local files and go to the config file 'settings' and where it says fullscreen=*number* replace that number with 0 and save. This should put your resolution back to normal and by normal i mean when you first started up the game, this will also not effect any progress or saves you have. :steamhappy:

Thank Thor, the DPI setting did the trick for me. This is the only game I've had to do this for so far.. wonder what makes this one different?

I think it is because the fullscreen setting is not your usual fullscreen, I think it is instead just a stretched window of sorts.

That dpi thing isn't working for me for some reason, any idea what the issue might be? My mouse is on the lowest sensitivity setting (one of those "Press a button to change sensitivity" mouses) Honestly, if they made a sensitivity slider, that'd fix everything.
But yeah, whatever you can offer I'd appreciate.

Update: Well the fix did work, I just can't launch it through steam or the thing will glitch. Any idea how to make the steam one work?

Don't launch it through steam then. It doesn't even require steam to be installed to run, just copy the folder to some usb stick and try it.

If your problem is that your mouse location is super erratic to the point that you can hardly click anything because the cursor keeps teleporting to the edges of the screen...

Update for current times (late2017) for Windows 10, Find the game at on your hard drive (probably at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\FTL Faster Than Light).
Right click > properties.
under Compatibility tab, click "Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by: [Application].

Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by: [Application]. It did not work for me mouse still jumps around like crazy. My mouse is a centrophorus redragon. I did not have this problem before as my last FTL save was on 2017 10 23. That last Win 10 update was definitely the cause.

Edit: After PC restart, it help diminish the frequency and distance of mouse jumping. But the mouse still jumps.
