Once you get all that, I don't think you'll be needing the infinite hull. As you're probably won't be getting hit to often and can fully repair at every store you come across.
Cheat engine works since I used it in testing my custom ship (a playable AI-ship).
If not, this game might not be for you.
While you are literally wasting your time if you want to cheat in this game, it's a trivial matter to edit the save file (continue.sav) to give yourself max everything and then just monster stomp over the game. I'm at a loss as to why you would want to.
Just Google ftl save game editor and it's a snap. But if you are as lazy about cheating as you are about playing the game, you'll probably forget to back up your files beforehand and manage to wreck yourself somehow.
And of course you could even more directly cheat with something like a cheat engine, which involves locating in the memory of the running game process the variables that keep track of your ship status and allows you to edit them. Seems a bit complicated for someone who would start a thread with such a silly post.
Save game editor definitely works.
Using that kind of wizmode ♥♥♥♥ really defeats the fun of winning the game legitimately, though. I seriously hope you don't do it.
I view the only "legitimate" reason for using that as being to test hypothetical scenarios.
Cheater can't be arsed to cheat for themselves and asks for a magic trainer.exe or something, while dismissing actual ways to cheat because "I think it doesn't work".
A savegame editor? How easy can it get? But eh, I'd have to look up on how to use it.
Cheat Engine? Even worse! I'd have to understand how hex cheating actually works and, meh, no, too much effort.
Just be carefull to not install unwanted software whilst installing cheat engine.
