Text not working
I got this game a while ago but i cant play it because the text looks like a mix of english and russian.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that "Enable Steam Overlay" is ticked both in your Steam Settings under "In-Game"
and FTL by right-clicking and going into Properties.

i cant read the settings menu but i can read the names of the crew and parts of the ship.
it is also not working with the tutorial and messages from the game

Well, then it looks like you'll need to find a way to update your graphics driver.
