Yes. All the time. Usually for things like the stats tables and so on.
I had a no spoiler policy before I beat the game, but now I'm trying to optimize my game.
This is basically what I did with Nethack.
From what I've seen I tend to be a better player than most people in the end.
It's a cool experience to discover thigns on your own, but it can also be very time consuming and frustrating, especially for things that are not at all clear in-game (such as exact event odds). If you want to be the best you can be, you definitely need to look at outside information from some sources.
Quick note that the wiki is occasionally inaccurate, so check the source files directly if possible.
Just kidding. Yeah, I have looked at it, but I don't use it.
