Enemy Out of Ammo?
Anyone ever notice this? Am playing at the moment, Rock ship has a large missile, teleporting bomb and singe shot laser, after so many lucky misses (at me) and my inability to go past their shield (lasers were 3 and their shields were 3) I noticed they randomly powered down the missile and bomb launcher even though I didn't even land 1 shot yet.

This new in the Advanced Edition? I've honestly never noticed this before if they run out of ammunition.

Have had plenty of runs in FTL, guess I never noticed. Since there were so many misses on both my ship and the enemy ship's end, had time to just stare at the ship...angrily.

Enemies have always had finite ammo.

I think it's around 10 missiles per launcher, though I presume it increases with sector number.

Have you counted how many rounds does the flagship have?-)

Pretty sure the flagship is scripted to have infinite missiles, though you can understand why it's hard to verify that...

I don't know much in specific detail, but i know there's a mod that also gives the boss a near-inifinite number of drones which suggests its ammunitions are reasonably finite (But obviously still numerous).

They did do so before Advanced Edition. The Flagship will indeed never run out of Missiles, as the Tri-Missile Launcher (to my knowledge) is scripted not to use Missiles.

The Flagship can run out of drones, however.

Drones and missiles are limited. It hapens a lot that i make the combats lasts long enought to empty the ammo stock of enemies. Usefull when you got a defense drone, then you can redirect power to something usefull after the storm.
Enemies can run out of missiles and drones. The flaghship, as far as I know, will not.
