I`d say that`s exactly the opposite of reality. SRAs get better as scrap rewards increase.
They`re useless in the flagship fight of course, but considering I`ve won without pretty much anything aside from "guns, shields, engines", that isn`t such a big deal when you`re geared amazingly from all the scrap you`ve gotten.
No, you have massively powerful shields, weapons and engines instead. All the augs in the galaxy can`t make a piddly little torpedo boat playing at being a cruiser into a massive engine of destruction that qualifies as a cruiser only due to its relative size.
Besides, you have three slots. It`s extremely unlikely that you`ll manage to fill them all with something well suited to your setup.
So, if you can equip two of them, then they should stack.
I just did it, infact i got THREE at once and the Crystal Pod Quest all at the beginning of the game! Had to make a tough decision to let go of the Pod quest chain in order to have 3 arms and finally beat the Final Boss.
