Blue Screen of Death
So basically, this is one of my top favorite games which is why I am very dissapointed with this problem I'm having.

Blue Screen of Death... It seems to be very random, once right when I loaded a new game, the rest were at random. Keep in note that I've had it happen when I've clicked, typed, and was just reading the text. I've checked if it's just FTL for 3 hours and ended up getting 7 crashes total in those 3. (I'm not counting the time I was starting up the computer after crashes) Then I spent close to 6 hours playing multiple other games to no avail. Blue screen seems to be exclusive to FTL.

Anyways, I've checked to see if it were some mods I had installed or something, so I disabled them but yet I still have the problem.

Anyone got a solution?

As the first fIrst thing that comes ot mind you probably need to enable v-sync or frame limiter in the options menu. With unlimited framerate FTL has an habit of using all of the available CPU providing a smooth 500+(or whatever your machine can do) frames per second experience, causing overheating and blue screen of death in cases.

Nope, still happening. Although you were right about it using up a lot of CPU which does seem to be the problem.

Right now I'm just trying to figure out why it's using so much and how to minimize it's hogging habit.

Right, so I downloaded the program and tried it on my latest crash report and the crash address was ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0. I have googled this for a while now and I still have not found a solution. Then I ran it on a couple more crash reports and it seems to be caused by multiple drivers. This doesn't help me with looking for a solution so I am asking for more help(selfish I know).

List of drivers(Including address): afd.sys+61a6c
ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0 (This one was a source two times)
afd.sys+61abb (This one was a source two times)
stdriver64.sys+14fb0
Ntfs.sys+4688
USBPORT.SYS+14113
fltmgr.sys+10bc8

This is very weird as I don't see how any of these drivers is specifically linked to FTL and I have yet to experience a BSoD outside of the game.
