How to unlock Osprey ship ??

Yesterday I defeat the flagship. It's was my first win ! I was so happy ! \o/
However, I didn't unlock the osprey ship..
I looked on Internet and it says I have to defeat the flagship to unlock it..
So I don't understand why it didn't..

Well, if that's a glitch, then you can unlock the ship via the profile editor.
It won't really be cheating, since the game was supposed to do it by itself.

What ship did you use to beat the Flagship? And which Flagship was it?

The Osprey is unlocked if you encounter and defeat the second Flagship in an event located only in the Rebel Stronghold sector. Otherwise, I believe you must defeat the first Flagship using the Engi Cruiser.

I used the "red-tail" to beat the first flagship and unocked the osprey

In pre-Advanced Edition versions defeating the Flagship with any ship unlocked the Osprey. That is probably what you read on the internet. Click on the LIST button in the Hangar, you will be taken to a screen where you can hover your mouse-pointer over the silhouettes of unlocked ships. A tooltip will appear to inform you of how you can unlock that specific ship.

Yes I saw this list after, to understand why I haven't unlock the Osprey. But on Internet it says differently.. And I remember when I played this game 1 year ago, I had unlock this ship like this: beat the boss.

I just got the game, so I'm no expert. but this makes sense to me. 1 year ago was before AE. Now, with AE the list has changed. Is that correct, Ray Robertson?

This is correct, they changed that the Osprey is now only unlocked if you defeat the flagship with any Engi cruiser or alternatively by completing the quest.

Before AE the only ship unlocked by defeating the flagship was the Osprey. In AE you can unlock the next ship in the list by defeating the Flagship with the previous ship in the list.
