Slipstream mod manager
Not sure if anyone on here will be able to help but I don't really want to make an account on the forums if possible.

Been using the slipstream mod manager for many years now and have had no problems, but I recently went to play and decided to turn off infinite space and it doesn't work. even if I lose the mod manger up with 0 mods I still have infinite space on when I get to the menu. Just not sure how to fix this. if I boot the game from steam its fine but then I cant use any ship mods

Try deleting slipstream and reinstalling, or install it into a new location. You can have more than one instance of slipstream without conflicts.

Thanks, that seemed to do the trick, odd that it was stuck on though

Just to give some context, oftentimes if you use a second instance of slipstream or FTL or something, slipstream will try to back up the already modded ftl.dat as a "vanilla" backup, which will cause the issue you've come across here. Basically if your ftl.dat.bak in slipstream is larger than ~270,000kb in size, it probably is a not-so-vanilla backup.
