Diplomatic Immunity achiv tips
So I'm suck at the diplomatic immunity achievement for the federation ship, I have to come across 4 crew related blue events by secotr 5 yet I fail to reach this goal before leaving the 5th sector

Fed A is probably the best ship to get this with, in theory, although I've usually gotten it with B, by hitting as many Slug sectors as possible. Seek out Distress beacons, they're the most likely blue options for either ship.

And if you're just going for the achievement on a specific mission, seek out crew of different species so as to have as many as possible. Slugs are very good if you know there are nebulas in your future on the sector map.
