How do I mod game files to get crystal ship?

I honestly cant be bothered to do the quest.

There are ways other than modding and the quest to get the crystal cruiser, one of which being beating all the type a and b layouts of the other ships (excluding lanius), or the rock type c (It starts with a crystalman, but I guess thats still doing the quest, just without needing the stasis pod and zoltan scientists), but if you just want the ship, I think a ftl profile editor exists that can unlock all ships (I think, I haven't checked)

But still: I don't know WHY people want the ship so badly that they cheat to get it.
It's a SECRET ship after all, hell, if they didin't look it up (or had someone spoil it), they wouldn't even know about the crystals until after they stumbled across the pod and the zoltan scientists.
Just think of the crystal and lanius cruisers as bonus ships.

Theres nothing wrong with modding and stuff, it's your copy of the game afterall, I can't dictate how you play it.

I have attempted to use a profile editor, however either it is broken or I do not know how to use it.
