For expample: enemy ship has 1 laser and 1 beam drone, you have 2 shields
Plus it looks like the Devs have done all the work on FTL that they're going to do.
That said, I'd still love a feature like this - primarily for letting oxygen refill after having it off all fight to power something more important - but I highly doubt it will ever happen.
This statement is correct.
You see, it's very rare for an indie company with one game in it's name to have the time, money, manpower, and money (I listed it twice for a reason) to bother with adding updates to a game when they released Advanced Edition recently and have support for a modding community. The only reason why you see companies like Mojang (Minecraft, Scrolls, Cobalt) getting away with it is because they got stupid rich. Other companies, like Vertigo Gaming ("Cook, Serve, Delicious!"), are struggling to get by and have to tell players that they don't have the time or ability to survive if they were to update a game that has already sold to 95% of people who were interested in the game already.
I approve of there being as many ways as possible for a careless player to commit suicide. Such a button would require careful use.
And frankly, I don't see any gameplay advantage in having to sit there and wait a few minutes for a Level 1 Oxygen system to bring you up to 100%, especially if you're turning it off to power weapons or shields or drones during every battle.
Quitting the game, invoking the editor, opening and changing then saving the file, then reopening the game, is hardly a solution to the inconvenience of waiting for oxygen to replenish. It sounds absurdly more inconvenient, actually.
But this isn't situational at all. At the end of an encounter, you have all the time in the world before you jump (other than the rare times do don't need this). If I'm a little low on energy, I'll take it from the O2 for the fight. So as I write this, I'm waiting for my O2 to slowly recharge. There's no value in this wait time. And now I actually remember there not being a speed up, and going away to do dishes while waiting.
Dish washing simulator, lets gooooo!
Also nice necro btw
