To do that:
- During a run, press L to open up the console.
- Type SECTOR <sector id>
- Press Enter.
To find out the ID of each sector, you can use this link[ftlmultiverse.fandom.com] to look then up. For example, Central Shell Space’s ID is SECTOR_SHELL_UNIQUE, so your console command would be SECTOR SECTOR_SHELL_UNIQUE.Note that a lot of these “homeworld“ sectors appear only at sector 4+, so it might be best to use this console command only during those sectors.
I believe this is purely RNG related. I’ve rarely encountered the True Ending questline, even with the Multiverse ships.
Certain sectors appear less often due to how sectors are distributed. The chance of encountering green/red/nebula sectors are only 40/40/20% (this is from vanilla). Additionally, certain homeworld sectors only appear at sector 4+, which makes Slug and Shell homeworlds that much rarer.
