oops forgot: In my game, when they are disabled, there is a small lock symbol above those icons you mention (color blind option is active).
Auto-fire at their drone control and depower your drone when their anti-drone is powered.
No, it will work, but takes a lot of patience.
In these fights, especially as you're only going to get small amounts of scrap anyway, I just run off. It's not worth the effort to waste so many drone parts.
Alternately just leave the IB II on autofire and go away for a while. With two shield layers it can't hit you and just by pure blind chance it will eventually exhaust the enemy drones. Then you can go for the kill.
