Clash of the Titans updated

No word of a lie, I have spent the last year and a half playing FTL for the sole purpose of getting the Clash of the Titans achievement (destroy 15 rock ships with the crystal cruiser). I have no idea why I've found this one achievement so difficult to get, but I guess it's just one of those things. Then, three sectors into my first game today, I finally got it!

...Because the game updated and now you only have to destroy 10 ships. I have never been so angry about doing well in a game in my life. I mean...ten ships in three sectors? I could totally have done it legit this run-through!

I can see why they might want to scale down the difficulty, because a year and a half IS a bit much, but I didn't begrudge an hour of it. I really love this game, but I'm so annoyed right now and I just needed to vent, sorry.

Damn, that is rough man. Talk about having defeat snatched from the jaws of victory. Congratulations either way though.

This was honestly a ridiculously difficult achievement, and one of the worst and most RNG-dependent in the game. Both times I deliberately sought out this achievement, it took dozens of hours spread out over weeks, even massively cheesing it with start scumming and only continuing past sector 1 with a nearly entirely red sector map and at least 5 in the bag before sector 2.

(Ironically I have accidentally gotten this, when I already had it, at least half a dozen times.)

It took me 30 games to get this achievement and I consider myself to be massively lucky to have gotten it in so few.

Believe me, 15 was too many.

I agree, it's too much, and also i don't like destroying ships, so it was a pain.
