mouse cursor too fast

ive googled and tried everything to fix this. GTX 970, I-7 4790K and windows 10. would love to enjoy this game but my mouse cursor moves at the speed of light and only on this game

It's named Faster Than Light for a reason.

Its almost certainly because of your resolution; if the game is running low resolution and fullscreen, the mouse still moves the same pixels per second, if that makes sense.

I had this problem in several games (mostly older first person shooters) and it turned out to be the Synergy one mouse and keyboard for multiple computers program that was the problem. Plugged a mouse and keyboard into the PC I was actually gaming on and it fixed the problem.

Try this.

Right click on FTL in your library, select properties, then local files, browse local files. Look for the file FTLGame.exe, right click it, select properties, go to the compatibility tab and tick "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings". Click Ok and you should be good.
