That's the best way to clear the flagship without some heavy weaponry, luring 4 people into the medbay by teleporting into it, and hacking it to damage them. If you can clear everyone but the laser gunner on the first phase, you're set.
What's a good amount of firepower to take down the rebel ship?
I've tried a 4 man boarding crew before but a lot of times the rebel flagship just keep spamming hacking and missiles and have either the pilot system disabled or the weapons disabled and I just get missile spammed to death before I can do any substantial damage.
You can then repeat that for the ion and beam weapons, but you should leave the laser gunner alive (because if you kill every crew member on the flagship, the fight will get harder, and the laser is the safest to keep alive) With just the 3-shot laser left, you're safe to take your time and try to kill the rest of the crew, making the other phases much easier.
If you want zoltan boarders try Fed Cruiser C, but zoltans are underwhelming if boarding imo.
Best boarding ships are obviously those with a preinstalled teleporter.
All of them are pretty good.
> Send boarders into medbay
> Wait for enemy to go to medbay
> Hack medbay
> Rinse and repeat until you win
you need hacking yourself ;)
