how do i mod my game?

im trying to just install the infinite space mod on ftl with slipstream mod manager but i cant figure out how, i have got to the point where every guide i have seen says to open the modman folder but theres like 3 and then find the ftl resource .dat but i cant find that either.

edit: i found the .dat file but when i select it it says the ftl files were not found and shuts down.

The new version wouldn't say there's no resource.dat because it wouldn't care.

Extract the mod manager anywhere.

Mods come in .ftl files. To make one available to Slipstream, simply drag it into the mods/ folder.
