We've all been there.
To be fair though, I had a lot of runs that shouldn't really count, like restarting 30+ times to see what all the starting tips say. Back when I first started playing, it probably took me somewhere between 50-100 runs to win (and I still remember my first victory was on normal with the Engi B of all things). These days though, I can win pretty reliably and I only play on hard. I took a long break from this game for a few years and came back a few months ago, and I would say I have won about 80% of my runs as of late.
19/654
Very few Easy runs, mostly Normals, and around 50 Hard runs, more or less.
I was doing better but then I went on some foolish losing streaks. Hoping to increse the win % over more games and get better. For me it feels like stealth b is the hardest layout, while stealth a is one of the strongest.
My first profile on ftl classic https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=311603311

My family comes from a background of incredibly unlucky people... it's genetic and scary we all think our family is cursed lol. I should record my playthroughs and you'll see what I mean.
Mantis A? Sector 1 consists of all missile ships, every jump is an automated ship or a zoltan shield ship ALL missiles. That's just one of so many examples of my curse.
I really should stay away from RNG games lol.
Here is a screenshot just before my very first reset though.

Here is a screenshot I took where all games were played on hard after the reset and all achievements acquired.

I have improved much, I must say. I remember it took me a lot of tries to get my first hard win.
I'm new in FTL, but definitely am looking forward to doing some crazy things in this game in the future. I don't yet know what exactly such things will be, - obviously, too noobish in FTL for that, yet, - but one thing, i am totally sure about: getting 100% in that stat page is not such a thing. Tell us, Ray, does it feel good playing for a long, long time always having that lurking fear of "ruining my stats" in the back of your mind? Gee, i guess not! Besides, all the testing restarts some players do, you know - some people restart a lot, others not much, yet others prefer to push with every try to very end, however grim and unlucky a try might be. So yeah, i don't see any point to hoard that stat, nor any point to compare that stat between players.
That said, this opinion of mine - is not an attempt to "undermine" this topic. Just something related to it. At very least it should illuminate why some people, including some old-timers of this FTL forum, would never post their own stat in here, even if it's much higher than average: they simply, like me, would see no point in this kind of a "contest". ;)
