the questmarker is linked to the crystal guy name
the code goes a little like this:
If
- crystal guy in crew is named whatever
then
- place quest marker in rock homeworld
Edit: His name is Ruwen
Maybe the name generator rerolled for some reason
Hi,
His name is already Ruwen. I tried re-naming him to it again but still didn't turn up. If I do a jump will it maybe check the name again and give me the quest marker again?
The renaming exploit has been patched, but as far as I recall the game only checked whether you had a crystal named Ruwen upon jumping into the Rock Homeworld anyway.
The bug you experienced has been in the game for very long now, there is nothing you can do at this point to make the quest beacon reappear.
The portal is stil however there, you much just find it. If you have long range scanners it will be at a non-distress, no ship detected beacon.
Remember to next time not save and quit in the Rock Homeworld.
Ah thanks! I think I remember which beacon it's at so I'll try and let you know how it goes!
