what game is the most like this.
ive tried a few, but many dont offer the same as FTL though, truly turn based, i can do it easily slow on my own pace.

there are many games that look similar to FTL, but are realtime, or dont offer the same depth.

are there any games you can recommend me that are almost exactly like FTL ? main important thing is the total turn based.

thnx in advance.

I saw a bit of gameplay a while back, it didn't look terrible but I just wasn't interested enough.

It's really hard for me to get into new games. When I was a kid I loved every single game I played, now there are very, very few that I enjoy.

i dunno, the problem is, ive bought more games that had the feel from videos only to notice theyre oging to be abandoned, i once bought a game cosmonautica, the game was VERY broken, badly balanced, game breaking bugs, and even made review ... it was os bad that it even moved me fro mwarning other people. while im usualjly pretty lazy hahah.

long story short, dev contacted me, wanted ot go into a fight, banned me from all the community stuff from that game and i accused them of mismanaging and they gonna ruin and abandon the game. they got so mad and permabanned me from everything.

now. 3 years later. the game is abandoned and from that moemnt fo the fight with the dev there were 3 updates and it got abandoned hard, claiming they were too busy with their new game.

mind you, it was a devolver digital game i think. or a guy from the devolver digital early days team, im not sure anymore tbh. been a long time ago.( it was a pretty much wel lknown hyped indie dev/publisher from a few years ago.

so yeah. thats why im kinda hesitating from buying EA with semi bad reviews. :) like i said, it looks VERY promising, and i dont know how i could forget about it, but im gonna put it on wishlist again and see where its going for sure.

i think my hcoice has come upon Shortest Trip to Earth

https://store.steampowered.com/app/812040/Shortest_Trip_to_Earth/

it has very good reviews, and from what i can see from letsp lay videos its VERY mouse friendly, almost like ftl in crew management ( perhaps a little more automated on one aspect but more micro in some other ways)

perhaps more fun exploration mechanics and also it has click friendly combat too the only thing is i think you need to pause with spacebar urselve probably( although there oucld be autopause in combat perhaps in the option, who knows)

the only complains i can see is that the RNG is too harsh according to some people and some stupid left/right politic complaints like something about white men and such lol, who cares haha, but i dont get annoyed by harsh rng too much and perhaps oucld be even fun.

This looks promising, im gonna take the dive :3

thanks for all suggestions guys.

ive tried shortestr trip to earth for 2 or 3 hours, its a fun game, has alot of similarities, and a few things better in mechanics, liek food for travel and such, and putting people in crysleep saves food and such.

but there are "chapters" like 6, and once i completed stage one, my 2nd game i was able to start at the 2nd stage ...

so i htink its more casual than FTL,. but im not sure, ill keep u guys up to date.

darkest dungeon and xcom give me the most similar feeling to FTL while playing them, even though on paper they are radically different games. I guess there is no real alternative to FTL
E-Wolf 10 jun. 2019 às 0:54
Or maybe this one :

https://store.steampowered.com/app/367600/Skyshines_BEDLAM/

but anyway you should try this one

https://store.steampowered.com/app/590380/Into_the_Breach/

from the same creators of FTL

darkestdungeon and into the breach i already own, i like them both, but , somehow theyre not tickling me in the right places. ill check out bedlam though.

yeah ik now what you mean there is no game like FTL, ive tried them almost all

halcyon 6
bombercrew
darkest dungeon
the next world
into the breach
shortest trip to earth
bsg deadlock
xcom
slay the spire
endless space
spacerun, galaxy both
space pirates and zombies 2
battlevoid harbinger
interstellaria
convoy
sunless sea but i dont own sunless skies

those are the ones i own, named or prety much similar, or relaxing turnbased/realtime games like xcom for instance.

alot of those are similar like ftl, but dont scratch the same area with me. weird i know, but still...

and there are some i didnt name since theyre total ballbusters but halcyon, the next world, battlevoid harbinger, interstellaria are the most similar...

i guess im kinda burnt out, and trying to find the exact same while it simply just does not exist hehehe.
Survii Gecko 10 jun. 2019 às 2:48
Just pray for FTL 2 lol, will never happen but it as a concept it could work. Same game, but more weapons, more ships, more enemies, smarter enemy AI, endless mode where you can make whatever ship you want from things you have discovered. Maybe more combat mechanics, maybe you can control a fleet instead of a singular ship. etc.

FTL is not turn based.

FTL is not turn based.
its quite versatile like that, you could consider it turn based, and theres a auto pause on combat option right ?

Oh right, Abandon Ship. I don't own this game and forgot that it existed, but yes, that game is a lot like FTL.

You have a ship, crew with different abilities, equipment, the combat is pseudo-turn-based, you can target different parts of the enemy ship, there is boarding, stronger enemies start attacking you if you spend too long in an area... someone took the FTL recipe and painted it over with a pirate/lovecraft theme.
ye i saw this before, but especially in the early days it got bad reviews, so i forgot about it too...

do you guys own the game ? it looks very interesting, but tbh im kinda put off by the low score.

I didn't know that Hitlers dog got a steam account... Whatever...

I own abondon ship before I bought ftl and I had the same feeling but vice versa... For me it was more like "oh, ftl is like abondon ship"... But more polished, so don't forget its still in EA. But when I remember correctly it will release soon. So buy it with the EA discount as long it's possible! 😉👌

ye i did notice it juts got a huge update. but the dissapointment is so strong in EA titles hehe. i dont know. id rather pay more to be sure, than to gamble once more.

but yeah,it looks VERY promising, and im looking forward to it to release.
Pixel Peeper 12 jun. 2019 às 11:18
Yeah, I haven't risked buying games in EA very often but the vast majority of the time when I did, it ended up being a major disappointment.

Definitely a lot less expensive to only buy games that turned out well enough only after they've been released.
E-Wolf 12 jun. 2019 às 11:21
Well if you look for something "turn based" with Ship and Crew management, in a Space environnement, well polished, nice soundtrack and with an awesome review score, I can also recommend this one :

the game "pathways" is really good. its similar with its resource management and random encounters. the combat is top down turn based though. its the closest ive played.
