Lmao
Get a life man.
Did you learn these bants from your wife's boyfriend?
There are multiple ways to unlock different ships, and there are 3 different layouts for each ship.
While you can unlock ships the boring way, through game completion, the ships can all be unlocked early by finding specific quest-lines within runs, while it is up to RNGesus to determine if you find these quest-lines (befitting of most rogue-lites).
Layout B of all the ships usually vastly change the loadout and playstyle of a ship, and are unlocked in the defacto Rogue-Lite way of doing arbitrarily difficult achievements to unlock them.
Layout C simply requires that you reach the final sector (not even beat the game).
All of the repeated situations usually have varying solutions that change the outcome, and it's up to you to decide if you want to take the risks offered in such situations in exchange for rewards, and other times it becomes RTS like through Combats and Boarding, this game isn't like other Rogue-Lites where it's constant live action, this game is also a strategy game, if strategy games don't appeal to you, this game won't.
Lastly, the reward is in completing the game (or just simply enjoying playing it?), which other people interpret differently. Either you unlock EVERYTHING, beat the game on all difficulties, etc.
Maybe this isn't your type of roguelike?
This isn't a review. There is an actual spot for that on Steam... go leave one if you feel so inclined. You are not trying to have a discussion here, you are trying to be an ass.
How stupid do you think other people are?
The original rogue didn't even have character classes. You were just the same @ every time.
Since you summed it all up so well, I'm out of here.
