How do I use drone parts and how do I repair hull points?

My ship is half dead, new to game, how can I repair hull points? Have all these drone parts too

if you have purchased a drone system from a store or started with one, powering a drone will use a drone part.

stores can repair your ship, and some events can as well.

to expand on this, you need three things, a drone system, a drone schematic, and a drone part.

you equip drone schematics like weapons, except in your drone system. it takes one drone part to deploy the drone, and another to redeploy it if it gets destroyed. drones deployed outside your ship get left behind when you warp unless you have a drone recovery arm augment. drones deployed inside your ship (system repair, anti-personel) stay with your ship until they get destroyed or you remove the schematic from your drone system.

stores can repair your ship, and some events can as well.

stores will generaly be where you repair hull damage, but you can encounter events that will repair a portion of your hull too.

you can also find a hull repair drone schematic, but the part gets used after its done, and it is one of the rarer schematics to find.

Just a tip: Try avoiding damage as much as possible. The farther you get the more costly the repairs on stores are.

Also look out for friendly people you can try helping as they sometimes repair your hull and stuff.
