I think its way fun, I'm on a 2500k oc, with a 560ti oc, 8g. It's on sale from manvsgame site link, he gives you another 5% and its a steam key so it stays here. I got it for $16.14, it is for sure worth that. Make sure you have a good comp. I also use a game pad, and this game is very tricky, but once you get the hang of it, its pretty awesome.

Honestly, not worth your time. Worst web-slinging mechanics of any of the recent games. The combat is a poorly-implemented and -designed attempt to mimic the Batman Arkham style. The graphics were already dated at release. Best I can say about the voice-acting is that it's not the worst I've heard. Made the mistake of buying this at release, and I don't think I've regretted Steam's no-refund policy more. Plenty of better stuff out there on discount.
You should get it, but not for Steam.

So, does this game suck or not?
I mean really, I've been googling, watching videos and reading this discussion and I just can't get a clear image. If a reviewer says it sucks, people scream how good it is. If reviewer says it's good, people scream how bad it is. It crashes every five minutes, while it runs perfectly with no problems. It's boring game, while being fun and enjoyable. The graphics are outdated and good. Everything sucks, and that's why it's amazing.

I mean, duuude, who should I believe :I This must the most mixed up thing I've seen for a while. I'm not a big Spider-Man fan myself; I used to watch the first movie on VHS back in the day when those existed, and play the game on first Xbox and loving it to death. Now I've been looking for this for a while, and now that I finally got a summer job, I have money to buy this, or something else*, for full price. But I don't know if I should :(

The only bad thing that everyone seems to agree with is:
Web-swinging. Yeah, it sounds a bit boring, but I don't really remember how it was in that Xbox game. I guess it was pretty much the same, actually? Oh, and I watched Classic Game Room's review, and he liked it. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

E: Oh, and everyone ♥♥♥♥♥es about graphics, but from what I saw in videos, it looks.. amazing. But then again, I grew up with Rogue Squatron, Avernum and the NES of my friend, so I can easily enjoy this kind of graphics.

*Other games that come to my mind would be Dark Souls, Metro Last Light and AC4. Now, I have five million rpgs sitting in my library, so Dark Souls can wait. Metro on the other hand requires Nasa computer to run, so I can forget that one too. AC4 on the other hand, is at least as interesting as this one.. I mean pirates (my favorite theme) in a game with quality of AC. That's like if brazzers made Witcher 3.

E: ah, I found the game I played

It seems like the web-swinging was the same. Just hold a button.

'aight. I just went ahead and bough it. So far, so good. The swinging ain't bad too; you just release the button and pressa gain when you're gonna shoot instead of keeping it pressed.

I understand your confusion. I actually liked this game pretty much. Its not great but its still fun. I thought the choice of webslinging with a really close camera angle and the motion blur is really fantastic! And overall just well done.

It gets annoying sometimes, especially when you have to protect somebody. The camera is just not great, i mean they giving me too much freedom to control it.:boomer: So it's not perfect, but still fun to play after all

Yeah, that's what I've been thinking too. It's not perfect, but fun to play. And seems to be quite short (around 7 hours?), so yeah, it won't be a long and painful to play through :D

I think i'll get this when i get the chance. I played the three original games based on the movies and except for the linear gameplay of the first one i think they were all good i just like open world games without too much violence that's all.
Mortal Motö Aug 14, 2013 @ 8:45am
New opinion; It's getting boring. I already feel like I'm doing the final missions just to finish the main quest line (I mean, instead of actually enjoying them). And I'm only 5 hours in. I knew it's gonna repeat itself to oblivion and beyond, but I was still surprised.

I'd say it's a good game for probably 10-15€. Not 30€ for sure :D
