Stupidly low FPS
Okay, my system can eat this game for breakfast and still have room for more. But yet it is absolutely butchering my FPS, dropping down to 20FPS during web slinging in the city, cutscenes hover around 50-60. But most of the time it's around 30 or under. What gives?

Same issue here. Runs surprisingly badly.

Do you have an AMD video card? The game natively only works well on nvidia, however I did find a workaround.

Im having a problem where i cant change the resolution no matter what...

Turn down or turn off AA. That'll clear the fps loss up. Did for me. You don't need it really on 1080p or higher resolution. As for deleting that .dll file, you shouldn't play this on a laptop.

I tried all of that and it still has shoddy FPS. I tried that trick Sleepy Alyx, but it refused to start the game, unless I did something wrong.

I use an FX 8350 and a 290X and it's quite ppossibly the worst optimised game i have ever played.

Frame rates from 60 fps to single digits all the time.

I just can't believe the frame rate drops, I've never seen it before in any game. Dropping from 60 to 20, to 30 to 5. Absolutely mental.

Ok, I had the same not starting problem.

What you have to do is after inserting the DLL is go to the game files and backup the asmlauncher and the game.exe. After that rename the launcher to launcher_old or something, then rename the 'game.exe' to 'asmlauncher.exe'.

It won't start since steam wants to open the launcher before the game, and doing this will trick steam into opening the game instead.

I turned down shadows to medium, freed the FPS to be max with VSync.

I downloaded a DLL creation program that helped a massive ammount. Just google AMD Amazing Spiderman fix and it should pop up.
