Silent Hill 1 Remake

First off all, thank you Blooper Team for this incredible remake. It was not such an easy task to remake this absolute masterpiece entitled SH2 and honestly you did it pretty well. Like many people I was not so enthusiastic in watching the first trailer but after a few months you listened James' face critics and you changed it for something very close to what fans wanted. Just for that, for having listened, thank you. And even if not everything is perfect in this remake (honestly the only reproach that I would make is about James animations and if you can fix that in a next patch 👌) I have been able to rediscover this game 23 years later with nearly the same emotion.

I don't know what your projects in the future are but if Konami plans to release a remake of SH1, I hope they will hire you for this job. You have my trust.

If the game meets the sales expectations of the production, Konami will certainly start the remake of the first chapter. I hope all this will trigger the production of a bran new SH game ... Silent Hill: Downpour is now 12 years old and to be honest I found it pretty bad.

Nope, because Silent Hill 2 is by far the most famous and appreciated game of the series. And it is a stand alone chapter. If the game meets the expectations of production, will definitely come the remake of the first game.

that's likely what their rationale was, but that's not what I wanted. SH1 was the most abstract in terms of graphics, and I barely played it, so I wouldn't be put off by the changes like am with SH2 remake.

Silent Hill IS getting a brand new game in the mainline series! It's called Silent Hill f and will take place in 60's rural Japan. Also, there was a remake of the original Silent Hill as well (or more like a 'reimagine'). It's called Silent Hill Shattered Memories.

Is it official or just rumors? By the way Shattered Memories was a reboot of the first Silent Hill specifically designed for Wii and Wii-mote. It cannot be ported on actual consoles nor PC unless you sell it together with a specific control device.

I have been wanting a SH1 remake for years. No psychological trauma (though that's great thematically for this one). Just good old fashioned cults doing creepy cult things. GIMME THE REMAKE!

I know. I'm just pointing out that *technically* Silent Hill 1 has been remade/reimagined. Although I'd absolutely love to have a true remake of it like Silent Hill 2. I have not finished it yet, I'm currently going through Toluca Prison, but as a veteran Silent Hill fan and horror fanatic, I think that Bloober did an amazing job and I can't even come close to understanding why there is so much controversy with it and people screaming all the things they are.

P.S. Shattered Memories also had a PS2 version, the one I played. I just really was not impressed with it all that much. Now if I had a Silent Hill remade the same way as this one I would be super happy!

PS2/PSP versions were just poor and cutted ports. Wii's version is the only one worth playing. I found it one of the most immersive experiences I have ever had, I will never forget wandering into the woods screaming "CHERYYYLLLLL" with this in the background
