Make a new game.
Seriously. I love Silent Hill but why are we remaking everything and charging a premium price for it?

Make a new game, please.

There's plenty of new games you can play, why waste time complaining about a remake that people have wanted for years?

Or maybe ignore the fact Konami are currently working on a new Silent Hill game, and we got a really cool short game not long ago.

Industry is creatively bankrupt, period.

The only thing left to do is milk franchises and deliver mediocre products (Marvel) and keep creating spin-offs and series no one asked for which end as box office flops. Star Wars is proof enough.

With games there's a similar situation, a remaster was a safe bet, no dares to take the risk of creating something new, where PT? where Kojima and Reedus? oh yes konami kicked both, why they didn't continue with such project? Capcom got rid of shinji mikami and continued with Resident Evil series yet Konami couldn't do anything after kojima except some obscure, mobile SH games that no one even knows they exist.

Still this is the 1st remake from SH afaik, so no big deal but yeah this is the age of the remasters reboots remakes spin-offs etc.

nah they made concord specifically so you can't even play the game you just have to say it sucks that's the only gameplay involved in it.

i don't even remember what that european-set silent hill game they just put out was called. it probably sucked lmao.

Silent Hill: Short Message was the most recent new one, and it was pretty good to be honest. Play it, or shut up. I'm tired of people saying things suck when they haven't tried it, especially since SH:SM is free.

it sounds like it's free because it's not good, though? like you don't pay money to catch a cold, either. like a lot of these products i look them up and the only evidence they even exist whatsoever is an IGN announcement years ago, and then maybe someone saying they're not any good. did townfall ever come out? because it sounds like if it came out, it'd be bad.

Just because its free does not mean its bad, it was designed to be free so it could build hype for the franchise after a decade long wait.

Just download it and play it if you have a PS5, you've got nothing to lose.

a lot of these entries konami's done, i feel like they only exist as wikipedia articles like what the heck is 'orphan 3?' ive never heard of orphan let alone an entire sub-series culminating in 'silent hill orphan 3.'

i thought i was out there knowing what silent hill origins was, but no, there's silent hill ascension for the google play app store and something called 'tubi steaming.' i'm a fake fan i guess because i don't even know what that is.

this franchise's product line is such a shambles i legitimately couldn't believe at first that sh2r even actually came out as a purchase-able product with people playing it.
