Unreal engine 5 makes not-so-good games
Played the game on a 13th gen i7, 32gb ram, 4070 ti. It stutters constantly. It doesn't matter if I turn to whatever settings. It makes it feel like very interruptive and immersion breaking. I think they used way too much high quality assets that makes it unwieldy. UE5 games seems always have this problem despite having nanite. Bloober team's best game, in my opinion, is observer, which doesn't have animations basically.

I am in Rose wood apartments right now, it looks amazing when standing still. But when moving around it not only stutters the animation also looks so weird. James would bump into walls and like the animation would imminently changes to "bump-into-wall" animation regardless what the states of James is in currently. It also doesn't help James has a reactive head but a static loop in the body and legs when running around, it looks like he is swiveling his head all the time. The original silent hill 2 from 1998 has better head animation than this.

The story is still great and Bloober is very respectful of the original.
